Introduction to Devonport
updated 20 Apr 2011
Devo TT (Devonport Transition Town) was started in 2009. We are working on projects which help to make our local community more resilient and sustainable.
In October 2010, as part of the 10/10/10 day, we organised the Hand On! Sustainable Living Skills Festival which was held at the Community House.
Currently, we’re working on two projects in the local community:
§ Fruit Trees
§ The Community House “Powerdown”
We’re also looking into the potential for local food exchange scheme, community gardens/orchards, composting centres, and small-scale renewable energy.
We hold regular open evenings.
If you’d like to be kept up-to-date with our group, or are interested in getting involved, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or visit our website (www.ttdevonport.org.nz) or our Facebook page.
